Star Score
A 0-100 score weighted 35% Edge, 45% Risk, 20% Discipline, and what each pillar actually measures.
Your Star Score is a single 0-100 number built from three weighted pillars, Edge, Risk, and Discipline, rather than just your raw P&L. The idea is to score how well-rounded your trading is, not just whether you're currently up.
This is the real Star Score component, illustrative numbers, not a mockup: same file your dashboard renders.
The three pillars
Edge (35% of the score) — do you have a statistical advantage? Based on your win rate and your average win/loss ratio.
Risk (45% of the score, the biggest weight) — how well do you manage risk? Based on your profit factor (gross profit ÷ gross loss, above 1.0 means you're net profitable) and how much of your total gain your worst drawdown gave back.
Discipline (20% of the score) — how steady are your results? Based on consistency (the share of trading days that close profitable, and how steady your day-to-day P&L is) and resilience (how quickly you recover from a bad drawdown).
Risk carries the most weight on purpose, it's the pillar that determines whether you're still trading next year.
The star chart's other two points
The chart on your dashboard plots five points, not three: Edge, Risk, Discipline, plus Consistency and Resilience as their own points. Those last two aren't separately weighted in your 0-100 total, they're the breakdown of what's driving your Discipline pillar, so you can see which half of it needs the work.
Reading your score
| Range | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 80-100 | Firing on all cylinders, a sustainable edge with strong discipline |
| 60-79 | Solid foundation, one or two pillars need work |
| 40-59 | Room for improvement, check which pillar is dragging |
| 20-39 | Significant gaps, focus on the weakest pillar first |
| 0-19 | Fundamental issues across multiple pillars |
Improving your weakest pillar moves the total more than polishing a strong one. A 55 score gained from lifting Risk 30 to 60 will move the total further than pushing an already-strong Edge from 70 to 80.
