MT4 auto-sync
The fastest path is Tradestar Desktop, one click, no FTP credentials. A manual FTP fallback exists if you can't install it.
Install Tradestar Desktop and connect MT4 in one click, no FTP credentials to paste, no settings to tweak in MetaTrader.
Pro feature
Broker sync requires a Pro subscription.
MT4 publishes an HTML account statement every 10 minutes over FTP; Tradestar parses it for real broker P&L, swap, and commission. That 10-minute interval is MetaTrader's own platform limit, not something we control.
Setup with Tradestar Desktop (recommended)
Install Tradestar Desktop if you haven't already.
In the desktop app, go to Settings → Accounts → Add Account.
Pick MetaTrader 4, it auto-selects if we detect an MT4 install.
Click Auto Configure & Launch. Close MT4 if prompted, then Relaunch.
Wait up to 10 minutes for the first sync, trades then appear on /trades automatically.
Manual FTP setup (fallback)
Can't install the desktop app? Configure MT4's FTP directly:
In Tradestar, go to Settings → Imports and click Generate FTP Credentials. Copy the server, login, password.
In MT4, open Tools → Options → FTP.
Paste the server, login, password. Set path to
/. Enable Passive mode.Click Test, MT4 publishes immediately, trades should appear within a minute.
